Resumption of Outdoor Circuit Use

Last Edited – 13th Jun by David Ball

Coronavirus restrictions now permit one individual to meet up to 5 others outdoors. As a result limited outdoor circuit activity will resume from Sun 7th June as follows: -.

  • Off-road and On-road race circuits will be available as separate facilities.
  • Sunday will be divided into two 4 hour sessions on each track:
    • Off-Road: 08:00 – 12:00, 12:30 – 16:30
    • On-Road: 08:30 – 12:30, 13:00 – 17:00
  • Thursdays (off-road only) will be a single 4 hour session, 18:00 – 22:00
  • Max 6 pre-booked participants per circuit per session.
  • No interaction between participants of the adjacent circuits.
  • SRCCC members only. Joining info here: https://srccc.club/join
  • Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. This counts as two participants. Please indicate this when booking.
  • Advance booking is mandatory.
    • A coordinator for each circuit will post on the club Facebook group midweek to open bookings – https://www.facebook.com/groups/srccc
    • Comment on that post to request a place stating am/pm preference.
    • If you don’t have a Facebook account, email requests to onroad-bookings@srccc.club or offroad-bookings@srccc.club
    • Coordinator will allocate spaces as fairly as possible week to week, on the following basis
      • First allocation of places goes to drivers who have not yet had a run since lockdown. Among this group we give precedence to
        1. Existing members(pre-lockdown) who used to drive on that track+day (e.g. Thursday evening)
        2. Other existing members (pre-lockdown)
        3. New members (post-lockdown)
      • After that, if there are places remaining we allocate in rotation based on when each driver last got a run.
    • Coordinator will post again on Facebook to confirm allocations two days prior to the session (where possible)
    • The booking coordinator or a nominated deputy will attend each circuit session (as one of the six places) to oversee activities.
    • Decisions of the booking coordinator are final.
  • Session fee is £5 per person per session and must be paid…
    • Only after a session place has been allocated
    • No later than end of day prior to the session
    • By PayPal to srcccracing@googlemail.com (as friend)
      or
Bank transfer (account details will be provided by email)
    • Payment reference must indicate driver surname, first initial and session date in any reasonable format, e.g. smith-j-7-jun
  • Access to the site will be by a combination padlock. Number will be emailed to participants one day prior using their address in club membership records.
  • Maximum three participants on the rostrum at a time. 2m apart at all times.
  • Sessions can be used for practice or friendly informal competition.
  • Use of the computer timing system is optional. Only one participant from the session may operate it. Gloves must be worn and the area cleaned after.
  • All participants must conform to social distancing and hygiene rules, including 2m separation at all times and regular use of hand sanitiser.
  • The toilets facilities are now available for use but must be kept clean by us, the users!
    • Please sanitise your hands before and after using the toilet. A bottle of sanitiser is provided
    • Please wipe the contact areas before and after you use the facility. A pack of wipes is in each toilet
    • Please place the used wipes in the bin provided
  • Participants are responsible for cleaning any equipment or structures to be handled before the session begins and at the end (e.g. handrails)
  • The Club will provide cleaning solution and paper towels for decontamination of surfaces, and sanitising gel for hands.
  • Participants must not enter the site before the session start time. Participants must depart by the session end time, but may leave earlier.
  • Do not attend if you are unwell. Inform the booking coordinator by email if you become unwell within 7 days of attending a session.
