Resumption of Outdoor Circuit Use

Last Edited – 5th August by David Ball

Outdoor racing at SRCCC has returned to its normal days, times, classes and race format as described on our Club Info page, but all participants are required to adhere to the guidance of the BRCA (see here) and with the additional procedures set out below. These are intended to ensure that drivers have a safe and enjoyable time whilst also protecting our families and the wider community.

  • Off-road and On-road race circuits are available as separate facilities.  Avoid interaction between participants of the adjacent circuits.
  • Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Advance booking is mandatory.
    • A coordinator for each circuit will post on the club Facebook group midweek to open bookings –
    • Comment on that post with your name and class to request a place.
    • If you are a guest (non-member) please also make this clear in your comment.  On your first booking you must contact the coordinator by private message to provide the following details: name, address, DOB, email, phone number, BRCA number. This is the same information we hold for club members, and will be held in accordance with our Privacy Policy in order to verify BRCA membership and to meet our statutory coronavirus track & trace obligations.
    • If you don’t have a Facebook account, email requests to or
    • Coordinator will allocate spaces and limit numbers in the unlikely event a meeting is oversubscribed.
      • First allocation of places goes to drivers who have not yet had a run since lockdown. Among this group we give precedence to
        1. Existing members(pre-lockdown) who used to drive on that track+day (e.g. Thursday evening)
        2. Other existing members (pre-lockdown)
        3. New members (post-lockdown)
        4. Non-members
      • After that, if there are places remaining we allocate in rotation based on when each driver last got a run.
    • Coordinator will post again on Facebook to confirm allocations two days prior to the session (where possible)
    • The booking coordinator or a nominated deputy will attend each circuit session to oversee activities.
    • Decisions of the booking coordinator are final.
  • Race fee per drivers per session is £5 members or £8 non-members and must be paid…
    • Only after a session place has been allocated
    • No later than end of day prior to the session
    • By PayPal to (as friend)
    • Payment reference must indicate driver surname, first initial and session date in any reasonable format, e.g. smith-j-7-jun
  • All participants must conform to social distancing and hygiene rules, including:
    • 1m+ separation at all times. This means 2m+ separation wherever possible, or 1-2m with a face covering.
    • Regular use of hand sanitiser.
  • Rostrum – Drivers must stand with 2m spacing. For the current off-road rostrum this means a maximum of 3 drivers.  Spacing may be reduced to 1m if all drivers wear a face covering. This will depend on the number of competitors and heat sizes.
  • The toilets facilities are available for use but must be kept clean by each user
    • Please sanitise your hands before and after using the toilet. A bottle of sanitiser is provided
    • Please wipe the contact areas before and after you use the facility. A pack of wipes is in each toilet
    • Please place the used wipes in the bin provided
  • Participants are responsible for cleaning any equipment or structures before and after use. The Club will provide suitable cleaning solution, paper towels and/or wipes.
  • Do not attend if you are unwell. Inform the booking coordinator by email if you become unwell or test positive for Coronavirus after attending a session.
